Thesis শুরু করার আগে সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রশ্নগুলোর একটি হলো—

সহজভাবে মনে রাখুন
Prevalence/Status জানতে চাইলে- Cross-sectional study
Example: “Prevalence of anemia among pregnant women”
দুইটি exposure/group-এর outcome compare করতে চাইলে- Comparative study / Cohort study
Example: “Outcome among obese and non-obese pregnant women”
কোনো intervention-এর effectiveness দেখতে চাইলে- Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT)
Example: “Efficacy of Drug A versus Drug B in reducing postoperative pain”
Exposure থেকে ভবিষ্যতে outcome develop করে কিনা দেখতে চাইলে- Prospective Cohort Study
Example: “Development of gestational diabetes among women with and without obesity”
Disease/outcome-এর possible risk factors খুঁজতে চাইলে- Case-Control Study
Example: “Risk factors for preeclampsia among pregnant women”
আগের medical records ব্যবহার করে study করতে চাইলে- Retrospective Study
Golden Rule: Study design আগে ঠিক করবেন না—
প্রথমে ঠিক করুন:
Research Question → Objective → Exposure/Intervention → Outcome → তারপর Study Design
একটি ভুল study design পুরো research-এর validity নষ্ট করতে পারে।
